Winter fun in the Thuringian Forest

Of course, we are also well prepared for the cold seasons. With many ski and snowboard slopes, cross-country skiing, toboggan slopes. Whether you drive to Oberhof or start right from the house is entirely up to you!

Both are beautiful and a day of fun for the whole family (provided there is snow, of course).

Of course there are also the hiking tours that take you through the stunning landscape in winter

particularly shiny white.

If you've had enough of snow fun, the indoor and thermal pools nearby invite you to relax and unwind in the warm water.

Historical sights and beautiful city promenade

With all the beautiful nature right outside the door, it can be something different every now and then. The great sights in our nearby cities stand out here.

The quickest to reach are Friedrichroda and Reinhardsbrunn (5 km). The spa town, in its dreamy small town idyll, not only invites you to linger in the good restaurants. Sights such as the Marienglashöhle or Reinhardsbrunn Castle are also waiting for you.

There is a real historical highlight in Gotha, with its Friedenstein Castle, the Ekhof Theater, the art and natural science exhibitions, the park and its orangery. You won't regret a visit!

Can you go to the Thuringian state capital? Erfurt is just 50 km away from us. The beautiful old town with the striking cathedral and the diverse gastronomy as well as many shopping opportunities invite you to a relaxing day.

Or would you prefer something more cultural? Weimar is 70 km away, but this journey is worth it! See the city where Goethe and Schiller wrote their works, stroll through the castle park, stop at Goethe's garden house or visit the fascinating Anna Amalia Library! Every corner here caters for hunger, big and small.
